NEWEST DERIVATIVES JOIN THE BOEING 757/767 FAMILY
The 757-300 and 767-400ER (extended-range) airplanes are the
two latest derivatives in the Boeing 757/767 family. These efficient twinjets
offer airlines greater flexibility in accessing the complex, competitive
market served by medium-sized airplanes. The diverse range and seating capacity
of the 757/767 family allow operators to mix and match airplanes as routes
change and demand fluctuates. At the same time, the 757/767 family offers
savings to operators because of the efficiencies gained from common flight
crew rating, training and spares requirements. The 757-300 and 767-400ER
have significantly lower seat-per-mile operating costs than any other airplanes
in their market segments. The 757-300 is targeted to deliver in January
1999 to Condor Flugdienst of Germany, and the 767-400ER is scheduled for
a mid-2000 delivery to Delta Air Lines, a U.S.-based carrier from Atlanta,
Ga.
