RAH-66 Comanche
The two-crew combat helicopter has fully integrated fly-by-wire flight controls and digital avionics, communication, and target acquisition systems, supported by self-healing digital mission electronics. It features triple-redundant electrical hydraulic systems and on-board diagnostics as well as an all composite, low observable fuselage with low radar cross-section, low acoustic and infrared signatures. The RAH-66 was designed for the battlefield of the future, using fewer troops and more sophisticated weaponry. Its design features a five-bladed bearingless main rotor and a highly efficient fantail anti-torque system for maximum performance and protection. An advanced digital electronic flight control system enhances survivability. Built by Boeing and Sikorsky.
